A service the Masonic Fraternity provides to the community is the Maryland Child Identification Program or the MD CHIP Program. The unfortunate statistics are staggering. It is estimated that 800,000 children are reported missing each year in the United States. The MD CHIP Program is a vital tool to help authorities gather information and disseminate it to the public very rapidly, helping to reunite a child with their family as quickly as possible. When you bring a child to one of our events we take digital fingerprints, photograph the child, take down any vital statistics and other identifying characteristics, put them on a CD and hand that packet to you. We keep no information about the child or the visit. You put it away and pray it is never needed, but have the peace of mind in knowing that if the worst should happen you’re prepared.
Ionic lodge #145 conducts its MD CHIP Program at various events in the Reisterstown community, most notably at National Night Out. Please visit us during these events so that we make full use of this vital tool and help you protect your family against the unthinkable.
Should your organization in Reisterstown or elsewhere in Maryland, like for us to participate at an event please contact us.
